New Growth for Seattle Self Park

Seattle is experiencing a building boom in the downtown neighborhood of South Lake Union. Several mixed-use developments consisting of apartments, condominiums and retail spaces are under construction. Joe Koontz, the new City Manager of Seattle Self Park, says the fast-paced growth creates new opportunities for Diamond Parking. “We can now offer paid parking as well as provide monitoring services to the retail tenants of these mixed-use facilities.”

Joe manages many locations within the Seattle city limits that are a mix of pay parking lots and monitoring stations that don’t require attendants. “My focus is to acquire new business and exceed my clients’ expectations.”

Joe began his career at Diamond in 2007 as an area supervisor. He was promoted to Operations Manager at Seattle Self Park, a position that he held for three years. In 2011 he was then promoted to City Manager of Diamond Parking’s U District. In early 2012, he took the reins of his current position.
